Here’s how it works:
Start by using your new Valley Central Bank MasterCard® debit card right away so we know the kinds of places you like to shop. The offers that will be made available are based on how you currently shop to ensure they are relevant to you. It may take up to 60 days after you start using your debit card for offers to become available - the more you use your card, the sooner they will start showing in online banking and your mobile App!
After we start to better understand the kinds of places you like to use your Valley Central Bank MasterCard® debit card, we'll start making offers available that fit your shopping patterns3. Log in to your Valley Central Bank mobile App‡ while you are out and about, or to online banking, and go to your personalized Purchase Rewards offers and click on "New Offers" to activate exclusive moneyback rewards. Once clicked, the reward offers are automatically loaded onto your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card.
Once you've activated your offer, simply shop at the retailer and pay with your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card. If your purchase meets the requirement of the offer, you'll automatically earn the reward.
The cash rewards you’ve earned will be directly deposited into your Valley Central Bank account. Rewards are typically deposited to your account the month after you redeem the offer2.
What is the Purchase Rewards Program?
Purchase Rewards lets you earn cash rewards by using your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card to purchase merchandise and services. The program is available to all Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit cardholders. Through this program, you’ll receive targeted offers to receive rewards on purchases based on how you shop.
Is this program free?
Yes, this program is free- there is no cost associated with Valley Central Bank Purchase Rewards. It is just another benefit of using your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card.
Where do I go to see offers?
After logging in, find offers in the mobile App‡ by going to the “More” tab and tapping “Rewards”, or in the Purchase Rewards section of the online banking home page click “New Offers”. Once clicked and activated, the reward is loaded onto your debit card.
Why don’t I see any offers?
Offers are based on how you currently shop to ensure the offers you receive are relevant. It may take up to 60 days after you start using your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card for offers to become available. The more you use your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card, the more chances you will have to receive relevant offers. Or you may not be receiving any offers because you accidentally opted out of the program. If you cannot access offers on your Valley Central Bank App‡, or don’t see the Purchase Rewards section of the home page, you are not enrolled in the rewards program. Please call our staff at 513-821-3335 to be opted back in.
How do I redeem offers?
On the app‡ or website, simply click “Add to debit card” — this automatically loads the offer onto your card. Then shop at the specified retailer and pay using your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card to earn the reward. Each offer has different details regarding when and where to shop, how much you need to spend and how often you can redeem the offer. Offers that require an online purchase are clearly specified and may include a redemption code. Please read the details to determine how to redeem each offer and start earning rewards.
Do I need to use a coupon or code to earn rewards?
Typically, you do not need a coupon or code to redeem an offer. Each offer has different specifications regarding when and where you shop, how much you need to spend and how often you can redeem the offer. Offers that require an online purchase are clearly specified and may include a redemption code. Please read offer details to determine how to redeem each offer.
How long do I have to take advantage of an offer?
Each offer has an offer period set by the merchant, along with how often you can redeem the offer before the end of that period. You must redeem offers before the expiration date, which can be found in the offer details section by clicking on the offer.
When do I receive the rewards for the offers I redeem?
Your rewards will typically be deposited into your account the month after you redeem the offer2. Since we do not share your personal information with retailers, we cannot credit your account immediately at the time of purchase. For example, any rewards you redeem in the month of August typically will be credited to your account at the end of September. If you would like to see the offers you have redeemed or the total value of the offers you have redeemed, please visit the online rewards summary page.
If I have more than one account will I see the same offers on both accounts?
Offers are matched on an account level, based on the purchases made with your Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card for that account. If you make different purchases with different accounts, you will see different offers in those accounts. You must use the Valley Central Bank MasterCard debit card connected to that account to redeem the offers for that account.
What if I do not want to receive offers?
1. Log in to your Online Banking account
2. Go to your deposit account details page
3. Click on “Purchase Rewards preferences” in the Purchase Rewards widget on the right of the page
4. Check the box beside “Remove me from this program”
5. Click “Update preferences.”
Is my personal information shared with retailers?
No. Your personal information is not shared with retailers. In fact, no personal information leaves your financial institution.
Who administers this program?
This program is administered through a third party. All personally identifiable information is secure and is not shared with the third party. Our third party partner will make best efforts to collect all of the rewards due to you and assumes all liability for the collections. The financial institution is not liable for rewards, but will work with the partner to ensure a great customer experience.
